GAME OVER - Gamba Osaka takes the Keihan Derby 2-1 with all goals scored in the first half. A very generous second half by Sanga, but the Kyotoites pay dearly their poor defending in the first half. Gamba overtakes Sanga in the table, now the Osakans are 7th, Sanga still highly placed  (8th).

90+1 - Mizumoto tries a right-foot shot, again no luck. Shots are now tied 14-14

90 - Three minutes of additional time. Now it is Sanga's ardor versus Gamba's experience

86 - SANGA YELLOW - Masushima, for antisportive behavior. Three yellows for Gamba and two for Sanga so far in a harshly fought derby.

84 - GAMBA YELLOW - Shimohira, for antisportive behavior

FIRST HALF OVER - Reds leads 1-0. We apologize, but due to technical problems we will not be able to netcast the second half. Our transmissions for today will end with the game in Kyoto. Shots were 9-3 for Urawa, in a game suspended for about 30 minutes due to extreme rain.

85 - Last desperate assaults by Sanga that would now deserve the equalizer: shots in teh second half are 8-3 for Kyoto

45+1 - Clearly Reds doing the game now, with three chances in the last 5 minutes: Ponte, Tulio and Abe close to make it two before the break.

82 - Double chance for Sanga: Tahara's shot is deflected by Fujigaya, Miyayoshi rushes in but his touch does not find the net. Again, great effort by the 16-year-old.

78 - GAMBA SUB - Futagawa (MF) out, Kurada (MF) in. Both coaches have made their three changes.

39 - ARDIJA YELLOW - Kataoka

74 - Well, surely it did not take much for Miyayoshi to show us what he can do: wonderful through pass for Hayashi, badly missed by the latter. Impressive...

73 - SANGA SUB - Yes it is happening... Fernandinho (FW) out and Miyayoshi (FW) in. Sanga still on the pitch with four forwards, but now one of them is the youngest ever to wear the Kyotoites' purple uniform in an official game! Good luck!

32 - A chance each: Tulio for Reds and Denis Marquez for Ardija, but still 0-1.

72 - Seeing is believing: 16yo Miyayoshi warming up in Kyoto.

30 - ARDIJA YELLOW - Tension growing in Omiya: Fujiyoshi yellowed for rough play.

65 - SUB GAMBA - Roni (FW) out, Terada (MF) in. Gamba beefs up the midfield (4-5-1 now) trying to tampon Sanga's assault. Another chance for Sato in the meantime.

27 - REDS GOAL!!! - Finally something happens on Omiya, and it is Reds' international striker, Takahara, who gives Urawa the lead! One minute before, Edmilson as well had a chance.

61 - Massive opportunity for Hayashi, but his shot dies off outside the left post. sanga continues to attack, Gamba clearly paying the midweek visit to Syria.

58 - GAMBA SUB - Lucas (FW) out, Yamazaki in. No tactical changes for Osaka. Lucas probably victim of an injury. Let's hope it is nothing serious!

21 - The games is on in Omiya, but nothing much happens... Clearly the wet field does not help in a game that no team wants to lose

55 - Now is Sanga's game: two chances for Tahara (right shot) and Masushima (header) make Kyoto fans scream for a goal, but it is still 2-1 for Gamba. Shots are now only 11-9 for Gamba.

54 - SUB SANGA - Nakatani out, Hayashi in. A rather extreme decision from coach Kato with more than 30m left to play. Sanga is now on the field with a 3-3-4 lineup... unheard of!

50 - Yuto Sato (Sanga) again very close to another great goal. Fujigaya (Gamba) denies him twice!

13 - The game restarts in Omiya, we're still in the 13th minute of the first half.

The game in Omiya is due to restart in 2 minutes. We'll follow it until the end of the first half.

46 - SANGA SUB - Kakuda (MF) out, Tahara (FW) in. Watanabe probably moves back in midfield, and Fernandinho and Yanagisawa takes the sides, looking for Tahara's head on crosses.

46 - SECOND HALF KICK OFF - Here we go, hopefully for another 45 exciting minutes. Has we stay, Gamba is now passing Sanga in the table, reaching 7th place. Sanga falls to the 8th spot.

45+1 - FIRST HALF OVER - Gamba deservedly ahead 2-1, shots were 10-5 for the Osakans. Sanga was lucky to be brought back into the game, but they paid for their sloppy defending. One yellow card for each team. Will Gamba slow down in the second half, considering they just returned from playing a game in Syria...?

44 - One minute added

41 - SANGA YELLOW - Nakatani

38 - Double opportunity for gamba in two minutes, but both Shimohira and Roni miss.

35 - A chance for Yanagisawa, out.

30 - A chance for Masushima, right shot, wide. The game is still alive.

Sadly The game in Omiya has been SUSPENDED. Nope, it is not due to the fans rioting, only bad weather. We'll continue to follow what happens in Kyoto...

29 - Sanga is not giving up. Fernandinho again close to an equalizer. The ball hits a defender and goes out.

26 - GAMBA GOAL!!! - Sanga's defense capitulated just after Sato clinched the equalizer: Roni makes it 2-1, Gamba again on top!

23 - SANGA GOAL!!! - Sato!! incredible, considering how bad Sanga was playing in this phase of the game. Osaka player will probably regret not killing the match when they had the chance!

18 - Again a chance for Hashimoto (Gamba). It seems a matter of "when" the Osakans will collect their second goal. Sanga looks as sloppy as last week, but they play against Gamba, not relegation-zone Jubilo!!

17 - GAMBA YELLOW - Futagawa hard on Fernandinho: card for the Gamba defender.

13 - Sanga's defenders seem completely spaced out. Either they get a grip, or Gamba will kill the game in the next minutes...

12 - After Sanga's great chance, it is again Gamba getting close to make it two: two chances with Lucas and Nakazawa. Good game, overall!

11 - Denis Marquez, but still no goal. Two shots for each team in these first 11 minutes, a well fought game.

08 - Fernandinho's heading hits the crossbar! Yamaguchi's goal (his 5th this season) came from an assist by Endo, ex-Kyoto.

05 - A chance now for Edmilson. Hosogai had one as well, but still 0-0

02 - Immediate reaction by Sanga, Yanagisawa scores, but he's called offside.

01 - GAMBA GOAL!!! - Unbelievable, only one minute gone, and Gamba already takes the lead with Yamaguchi!!!

01 - One minute into the game, and already Futagawa tries his luck: out.

03 - The first chance is for Ardija: Kobayashi shot goes out

00 - KICK OFF - We're playing in Kyoto as well!

00 - KICK OFF - Game is under way!

preview - Everything ready at NACK5 stadium for what we expect to be another exciting Saitama Derby. Urawa needs to win to keep up with Nagoya, while Omiya wants some points to stay well above the convulsed relegation zone. Abe back for Reds: will it be enough to win it? Urawa is certainly the top dog, but traditionally suffers in this derby. The first game on 4/20 ended 0-0.

preview - Kyoto is unexpectedly sitting in the 7th place but come from a disappointing game vs Iwata. Gamba struggling in J1, returns from a winning expedition in Syria (ACL). Three ex-Gamba players in purple tonight: Teshima, Mizumoto and Fernandinho. Sanga's Miyayoshi sitting again on the bench: he is 16. For Gamba, the same line up that lost at home to Nagoya last week.
